“Lynx has always taken pride in maintaining the tradition of high quality Dutch yacht building,” says Slim Bouricha, founder and president of Lynx Yachts. “We are dedicated to becoming the Dutch builder of choice for not just custom yachts between 30m and 50m, but also innovative yacht support vessels with our YXT range. Moving to our new production facility in Nijkerk is just one more milestone in our journey.”
Officially opened on 23 February 2017, the state-of-the-art Nijkerk shipyard boasts a quay length of 70m. With capacity for up to three in-build yachts simultaneously, the new facilities promise to be a world-class platform for Lynx Yachts’ range of vessels.
“This is an exciting step for us at Lynx Yachts,” says Filippo Rossi, sales and marketing manager for the yard. “This move signals that we are really shifting up a gear, having had an overwhelmingly positive response from the market to the yard’s commercial activities. The new production facility is part of our continuous effort to deliver value to our clients.”
Founded in 2011, the yard benefits from decades of experience thanks to Bouricha and his talented team. The addition of Rossi to the company in January 2016 has seen Lynx Yachts continue to go from strength to strength. Production is split into two divisions: the fully custom line division that includes displacement motoryachts from 25m to 50m in steel and aluminium, and the YXT – Yacht x Tender – division that currently includes displacement aluminium shadow boats and support vessels from 20m to 36m.
At the heart of Lynx Yachts is a passion for detail and a commitment to the utmost quality. Working closely with some of the industry’s most skilled designers and naval architects, as well as an expert in-house team, Lynx Yachts is able to push the of superyacht design, creating innovative, reliable vessels that meet the exacting standards and specific needs of their owners in a way that has not been done before.
“We want to create a whole new way of yachting and build yachts that will stand the test of time,” Bouricha explains. “The attention to detail that goes into every aspect of our builds is unparalleled. As a result, these are legacy projects; yachts that will truly be the custodians of the next generation.”
