MY Heliad II was the first vessel to demonstrate what was unique and exceptional about Lynx Yachts. With her classic canoe stern, she attracts admiring stares wherever she goes and is firmly set to become a classic of the future.
The steel hull and aluminium superstructure of the canoe stern motor yacht measures 33.4m in length with an 8.1m beam, her supple and enveloping lines bring to mind the classic gentleman’s yacht of yesteryear. Perfectly balancing interior and exterior space, the yacht’s four decks offer a careful distribution of volumes and offer a level of living space usually only found in much larger yachts. The wide side decks, high bulwarks and numerous handholds give the sensation of safety, solidity and strength, typical of ocean going ships.
Her owner’s brief for an interior of unobtrusive, no-nonsense luxury was fulfilled with panache, creating a scheme that is fresh, stylish and modern. Able to accommodate 12 guests and six crewmembers comfortably, the yacht boasts a large saloon and elegant sky lounge on the upper deck.
Created with al fresco living in mind, interior and exterior spaces are perfectly balanced, with four decks offering extensive opportunity for socializing and fun. Onboard is every imaginable water toy as well as spacious garage for the five-metre Castoldi tender. Inside sophisticated audio-visual systems, including a LCD TV, home cinema and satellite entertainment keep guests entertained after dark.
Propulsion is provided by two 600hp 448bKW Cat C18 Acert motors giving her a cruising speed of 10 knots and a top speed of 13.5 knots.
Fuel consumption at 11 knots is approximately 130 litres per hour. Thanks to her Zero Speed NAIAD 520 Ship Roll stabilisers, the yacht has a stable and easy motion in a seaway, in any weather condition. Fuel capacity provides a range of 4,500 nautical miles.
